Mark recently performed the role of Pale in Burn This at Fortyfive Downstairs directed by Iain Sinclair (A View from the Bridge, Berlin MTC) it was the first play back after the first lockdown. Born in Melbourne Australia, Diaco started acting in 2003 with The Forrest before moving to New York studying at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and various drama studios. Returning to Melbourne, Mark’s passion for the theatre lead him to co-found HST (Human Sacrifice Theatre) in 2007 with Sam Shepard’s classic True West.

HST followed up with such productions as David Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Glengarry Glen Ross, Speed The Plow. Stephen Aldy Guirgis’ courtroom drama The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, the stage adaptation of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. HST returned to Shepard with the Australian premiere of ‘The Late Henry Moss’ and in 2016 the critically acclaimed and sold out run of Brett C. Leonard’s family tragedy The Long Red Road. To this day HST continues to set the standard for high end drama productions.

Other theatre credits include Mark’s striking performance in Tacey Letts Southern Gothic Black Comedy as Joe Copper Killer Joe. In 2012, Mark co-founded yet another theatre company with The KIN Collective along with follow actors Noni Hazlehurst, Marg Downey, Chris Bunsworth and Michala Banas in productions such  as Glimpse and Martin McDonagh's epic The Leenane Trilogy.

Turning his attention more to film Diaco launched his production company Corner Piece Pictures focusing on writing and directing 'Half Way' a story about a guy from Melbourne and girl from Sydney that reconnect in the middle of both cities.

Followed by ClicK a story about a punk rock drummer becoming a father and conformity.
